Where did May go?

Good morning everyone
Just wanted to take a quick moment to remind everyone there is still time to register for the June events.  The event rate deadling for retreat registration postmark is June 2.  The deadline for the lowest rate for Family Fun day is today!!!  You can still register for both of these awesome events on-site. 

I am praying for  you all and hoping to see you soon.  If I can be of any help to you as you prepare to attend feel free to contact me any time.

There's still time

The next round of deadlines are approaching.  May 31 is the registration deadline for Family Fun day for children in grades K-2 and their families.  June 2 is the event rate deadline for Girls retreat for girls in grades 3-12. There is a girl near you dreaming about attending these wonderful events this year.  It's gonna be a SUPER good time at a SUPER DEAL price!  Please consider bringing girls from your church.  Make it a mother daughter outing.  You just don't want to miss it!  All girls are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Family Fun Day

Family Fun Day is Saturday, June 16th at Heartland Conference and Retreat Center.  Here are some helpful hints to help you have a great time at the Super Kids Family Fun Day.  Registration and Medical forms are available at http://ohioag.org/586016.ihtml.  If you hae any question about this event or any other event feel free to contact me at any time.  I love to help.

Who can attend?

·         Event is designed for children in grades K-2

·         Older and younger siblings are welcomed to attend so it is truly a family fun day

·         Children may attend with their families or come with a group from church J

What to expect

·         Fun activities on the beautiful grounds of Heartland Conference and Retreat Center

·         Fun songs

·         Great Speaker – Beth White

·         Swimming J J J

·         Bible village where the heroes of the Bible can come alive

·         Crafts

·         Photo opportunities

·         Super Hero transformation activity

·         Missions information and meeting Miss Equip

What the adults need

·         Registration information

o   Medical forms

o   Medicine in labeled bottles

o   Registration changes if you preregistered and there are changes

What the Super Kids need

·         Modest swimwear

·         Towel

·         Sunscreen

·         Money for photo buttons and store

·         Sack lunch or for $5 lunch can be purchased during registration.

Retreat Tips

Here are some tips to help you feel prepared and more relaxed for a great Super Girls Retreat

Registration

·         Opens at 10

·         What to have ready

o   Medical forms

o   Medication in original labeled container marked for the girl to give to the nurse

o   Registration changes

o   Miss Equip report form and offering if you didn’t mail it in

Leader's meeting

·         12:00 noon

·         Send 1 leader/lady to get your group all the retreat details

Lunch Day 1- enjoy the sack lunch you brought or the optional $5 lunch from HCRC

Craft Room - There will be craft available for a minimal cost of $ .50 - $2.00

Contest Entries

·         Please make sure all entries are taken to the cafeteria during the registration time

·         NEW this year!!!---leaders may participate

Friends  and Girls Only Rock wall

·         Your girls need closed toed shoes and modest shorts  to participate in this activity.

Auction

·         The Auction back this year!  We will auction off the food items from contest entries. 

·         Have your girls plan an amount they could bid on a yummy late night snack for your girls

·         Proceeds go towards our Miss Equip project

Bonfire

·         Make sure you bring your hotdogs, s’mores and fixings for a great time around a fire and an evening snack

Honor Celebration

·         Girls may wear any awards they have previously  earned

·         See Honor Manual for details

·         Celebration begins at 4 on day 2

·         Families and Church families are welcome to join us in celebrating with the girls

Touch the World

This year Miss Equip is uniting with the.....

Super Girls of Ohio to Support Ohio Missionaries to Germany,  Rick and Minna Boettiger.  Through our giving this year we will Mpact the ministry of the Boettiger's by providing training materials, curriculum and help with an outreach center.  Minna and Richard firmly believe "Touch the youth, you touch the future.  Touch the future, you change the world."

Rember if we as an area increase our giving by 10% I have to take a pie in the face.  Let's let Every Quarter Unite Important People and help Miss Equip meet her goal for this project.

Our Hands on project is the Teen Challenge Women's center in Columbus.  They are in need of lotion, shampoo/conditioner, lip gloss, Sewing notions, NIV Bibles, Stickers, Gel pens, Markers, glitter pens, journals, copy paper, bed pillows, laundry detergent, napkins, paper towels, tall kitchen trash bags, powder free latex gloves-large size.  You may collect this items and bring them to retreat.

It's May!!!!

Wow! Time flies.  If you are like me you are wondering where in the world April went.
Just a quick reminder, Event registrations are due May 15 along with Miss Equip.  I am praying I get to see you all at the summer events this year.  If you have any questions feel free to contact me and ask.  There is a Super Girls near you who wants to be there!  Don't miss these incredible opportunities.  Happy Mother's day to all  my mom's and spiritual mom's out there.  May you all be blessed beyond your wildest imagination this year!
